Jordan remains a strategic humanitarian and development hub in the region, currently hosting over 760,000 registered refugees, primarily from Syria, in addition to large Palestinian refugee populations with longstanding presence in the country.
While overall politically and financially stable, Jordan faces persistent structural challenges, including high youth unemployment, limited natural resources particularly water scarcity and constrained fiscal space. These pressures affect both refugees and vulnerable Jordanians, many of whom face restricted barriers in access to decent work, quality education, and essential social protection mechanisms.
RDPP partners with local civil society and institutions to address these intersecting vulnerabilities through integrated, context-sensitive programmes. Sustained international cooperation is essential to preserve development gains, reinforce national systems, and promote inclusive, durable solutions. Below is a list of RDPP-supported partners in Jordan.
